Contact UsBonded Neodymium Iron Boron (NdFeB) magnets are made by combining Magnequench powder with nylons, epoxies and other various additives. These types of rare earth magnets should be coated to ensure proper corrosion resistance.
Material Composition
Neodymium, Iron, and Boron powder bonded with a polymer binder.
Key Properties
Moderate magnetic strength, high mechanical strength, and easier to shape than sintered neodymium. Good corrosion resistance but lower temperature stability than other rare earth magnets.
Temperature Range
Injection molded stable up to around 120 – 180°C. Compression molded stable up to around 120 – 160°C.
Manufacturing Notes
Ideal for applications where high strength-to-weight ratio is required but without brittleness of sintered magnets. Suitable for molding into complex shapes and forms.
Common Uses
Magnetic clutches, magnetic bearings, precision instruments, small motors, sensors, loudspeakers, and medical devices.
