Neodymium, Iron and Boron are sintered to form these rare earth magnets, which are a mainstay of the industry. They can be sourced from a range of overseas producers.

Material Composition

Neodymium, Iron, and Boron alloy melted, molded, and sintered.

Key Properties

Extremely high magnetic strength, making it the most powerful commercially available magnet. However, it is brittle and susceptible to corrosion without protective coatings.

Temperature Range

Max operation temperature ranges from 80°C depending upon the grade.

Manufacturing Notes

Sintered Neodymium magnets require protective coatings (nickel, epoxy, etc.) to prevent corrosion. They are also typically processed using EDM (electrical discharge machining) due to their brittleness.

Common Uses

Robotics, electric vehicles, wind turbines, high-performance motors, hard disk drives, and other high-tech applications that demand powerful, compact magnets.
