Sintered Ferrite magnets combine materials such as iron, strontium and barium with bonding agents. These magnets are sometimes called ceramic magnets since they are fired like ceramics or pottery.

Material Composition

Ceramic material made from sintered Ferrite powder (iron oxide-based).

Key Properties

Moderate magnetic strength, excellent corrosion resistance, and low cost. Ferrite magnets are widely used in applications where cost and durability are more important than raw magnetic strength.

Temperature Range

Performs well in temperatures up to 250°C.

Manufacturing Notes

Hard and brittle, requiring diamond tools for precision machining. While inexpensive, the performance may not meet the demands of high-performance applications.

Common Uses

Loudspeakers, toys, automotive motors, refrigerator seals, and household appliances.
