Iron-Chrome-Cobalt (FeCrCo) is an alloyed material developed as a replacement for Copper-Nickel-Iron (CuNiFe). Creating these magnets is a skilled process, requiring precision manufacturing and exact knowledge of the properties required.

Material Composition

An alloy of Iron, Chromium, and Cobalt.

Key Properties

Moderate magnetic strength, excellent machinability, and good corrosion resistance. FeCrCo magnets can be easily shaped and machined, unlike other harder magnets. A replacement for CuNiFe magnetic material.

Temperature Range

Operates well up to 350°C.

Manufacturing Notes

Easy to machine, which makes it ideal for prototyping and small batch production. Offers a balance between strength and workability.

Common Uses

Compasses, Hysteresis coupling applications, measuring instruments, magnetic sensors, specialized industrial tools.
